FastCGI_SA is a session affinity patch for mod_fastcgi, running on Apache webserver. It automatically redirects the user to the same FastCGI application, making it easier for CGI developers to maintain state information.  If you're not familiar with FastCGI, you should read the docs on the FastCGI website first.

As of Mar. 01, 2003 - Dan Janowski has updated FastCGI_SA to work with the latest version of FastCGI (2.4.0 last time I checked.) He will be maintaining FastCGI_SA as long as he wishes. You may download the latest version from his website. The information below is based on previous versions, but the documentation on this website is still likely to be accurate.

Key Benefits

  • Will not hinder or change any existing FastCGI applications.
  • Works with cookies or IP addresses.
  • Allows the CGI developer to maintain state information in memory, rather than on the client or in files or databases.
  • The client will always be redirected back to the same application.
  • Easily configured.
  • Based on mod_fastcgi_2.2.2 ()
